Ice Cream Lab ★★★★ 1/2

Nitrogen Gas turn to yummy ice cream !

Blue Velvet Ice Cream

Turn to ice from the cupcake.

This is not your typical ice cream shop; they use extreme, cold nitrogen gas to make the ice cream. Sounds to me like some chemist making products, which it is true in a sense, but in a sweet way.

They have 4 standard flavors. I picked the blue velvet, which is basically a cupcake flavor. It does take a couple of minutes for them to make your ice cream, so on a hot summer day, expect a long wait.

The ice cream is so goooood, and the waffle cone tastes great as well. A bit of work is needed to get your sweet reward, though. Parking is street only, and there's no outside seating. The price is also higher than most ice cream shops, but since this is Beverly Hills, it's to be expected. Seems like a unique take on a well-known dessert. I'll bet that many new ice cream shops will use this technique in the near future.
