Au79 Tea Express Pasadena

Au79 Tea Express is the latest tea place near PCC.  This one is easily

the most popular of the three locations.  Due to the brand, I never try

Au79, the fact of the matter is there are way toooo many tea place in
SGV.

Passion Fruit Green Tea 
WWas pretty good, a bit too much sugar was added as a default sugar level
setting.  The topping I added was mini boba which was good fit.  My
drink was quickly gone, I didn't really taste the tea at all. all.

Blacktea Coconut 
With this order I requested that they reduce the sugar from level 3 to
the level 2 setting. Man Oh Man, what a big different, taste nothing but
tea this time, perhaps could be that coconut was near non exist !

It tasted just like  packaged noodles, the broth is very spicy and also
contain some MSG  The beef stew was good, but smaller in portion.

$6 Combo (Wonton Soup, Tea Egg with a Drink

This was a very good deal and it comes with a choice of green or black tea for like $6.
I was shocked to find out that they serve the same Wonton Soup as COSTCO
! WTF? The soup was pure msg, the noodles were  tasteless.  Only thing
that turned out well was the tea egg.  Those were very good, with great
texture.

Maraon $1.75 look good but is not house made.

Best thing about this place is their drink toppings, it got the most choice out there included the Rainbow one.

II was surprised to find  their food prices were pretty affordable, but their drinks are a bit pricey.  To be fair, I came here twice, before I posted this review and both times ordered different drinks and food.

The interior is pretty simple and the  menu is easy to read ( there's also a takeout menu).

They have their own parking lot and the staff is pretty friendly.  They can speak mandarin and English pretty fluently. Food takes a long time to come even the lame wonton soup which was clearly from a microwave.

If you just want to have a good sweet or milk tea with lots of toppings to choose from and don't mind paying a bit more by all means try this place, but if you want to get some real food, look elsewhere.  It's a
good place if you only want tea eggs and macaroons or some of those Costco looking giant muffins.
